There is a Method to Our Madness
- Planning--Why should the site be built? What is the site's purpose, ecommerce, informational, etc?
- Analysis--This includes what the web site will look like, what information will be presented.
- Prototyping--One to three mock-ups will be created, either image based or basic HTML demo (not fully functional).
- Review--What does the client think?
- Development--The coding or programming behind the web page that makes it function.
- Testing--Working the bugs out of the site and ensuring it functions correctly for online visitors.
- Release--This is often called "Making it live." It is merely putting it out there on the web to see how users feel about it, if it functions and has the desired effect.
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization)--This is how they find you. It usually includes stuff like: keyword and description preparation, search engine submission, and pay-per-click ads.
- Maintenance--Okay, your site is up and the visitors are flocking in. But how do keep your site up-to-date? What's the plan and who is going to do it?
